World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2023 - Online Registration Portal - Groups

If you are acting on behalf of an organisation and wish to register a number of delegates. 

All delegates including speakers need to register for the World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2023.

Additional persons attending the conference dinner, pre-conference workshops and field trips are also required to register. 

To complete your group conference registration, nominate the number of delegates and follow these 4 easy registration steps:

Registration Notes:

  • All Registration Fees for the World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2023 will need to be paid in Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • A $15 AUD booking fee will apply per booking applied to the group contact. Please consider this as you plan your booking/s for the conference including registration, conference dinner and workshops and field trips.

Upon successful registration, a confirmation screen will appear. In addition, a confirmation email will be forwarded to the nominated email address/es with Registration ID Numbers and a GROUP Registration Invoice / Summary to the nominated contact.

Crowd Funding Opportunity

The aim of this Crowd Funding opportunity is to support the attendance of delegates from Developing Nations/Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs) at WCDP 2023. 

Crowd Funding is a voluntary peer-to-peer sponsorship programme which allows conference delegates or other donors to financially support conference delegates from these countries.  It can be done by adding a specified percentage amount to your own conference registration fee.

The Local Organising Committee will then offer partial sponsorship to these delegates which covers registration and travel costs. Priority will be given to appointed speakers/presenters. Accommodation, visa and other conference related costs must be covered by the sponsored delegate.

All funds raised through this process will be fully allocated to supporting their attendance and there are no additional administrative charges imposed on the money that is paid.

The percentages of the current Developing Nations Category C Normal Registration fee of AUD$ 585.00 that can be selected are:

  • 10% of the registration fee – AUD$ 58.50
  • 20% of the registration fee – AUD$ 117.50
  • 30% of the registration fee – AUD$ 175.50
  • 40% of the registration fee – AUD$ 234.00
  • 50% of the registration fee – AUS$ 292.50

The amount selected will be added to the final amount payable when you finalise your registration action. A register of donors through this Crowd Funding approach will be maintained and promoted to encourage others to participate in the scheme. If you do not wish to have your name included, please advise us at wcdp2023@ilsf.org

Pre-Conference Workshops and Field Trips

Between Friday 1 and Monday 4 December 2023 there are a range of pre-conference workshops and field trips available for delegates to participate in which will include a range of drowning prevention masterclasses and workshops, site visits, demonstrations, and opportunities to explore and experience historical, cultural, and innovative sites and facilities across Perth and surrounds.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing – via email to Conference Secretariat, World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2023. 

For cancellations received on or before 4 September 2023 (approximately 90 days prior to the conference). The full registration fee paid minus AUD $75 processing fee will be refunded.

A cancellation fee of 50% of registration fees plus a AUD $75 processing fee will be applied for cancellations received between 5th September 2023 and 14 October 2023.

No refund will be issued for cancellations received from 15 October 2023 (less than 45 days before the Conference).

If a delegate fails to attend (Non-attendance), registration fees will not be refunded.

Substitutions may be accepted and need to be advised in writing via email to Conference Secretariat, World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2023.

The Conference will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre located in the heart of Perth. 

There is a wide range of accommodation to suit all budgets and requirements within close proximity to the venue. 

We have worked with some local accommodation options that have provided discounted rates for conference delegates, subject to availability and as per the terms and conditions outlined by each hotel at the time of booking.

Visa Information
All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements; and permanent residents of Norfolk Island who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival).

Visa applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and actual processing times can vary due to individual circumstances. For this reason, we would advise that visa applications be lodged at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to a person’s intended date of travel.
