ABOUT THE JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CHALLENGE
Dive in, have fun and put your swimming lifesaving skills into action at the Junior Lifeguard Club Challenge!
Held in conjunction with the annual Australian Pool Life Saving Championships, the Junior Lifeguard Club Challenge is a friendly and fun event for junior lifesavers and swimmers to come and participate in pool lifesaving.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The Junior Lifeguard Club Challenge is open to anyone between 8 and 16 years. It is recommended that participants can swim 50m continuously to participate. All events are team based - participants will be placed into relay teams on the day.
EVENT INFORMATION
Date: Thursday 9th January 2020
Time: 12:30pm-3:30pm
Venue: HBF Stadium outdoor 50m pool, entry via RLSSWA Office Building
Cost: $10 (Paypal and credit card payment at registration)
EVENT PROGRAM
1. Rescue Tube Relay
2. Line Throw Relay
3. Manikin Relay
4. Inflatable Relay
Events will be followed by a small presentation, BBQ and prize giving.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your swimmers, towel, sunscreen and goggles – everything that you woul
d normally need for a day at the pool or swimming lessons. All other equipment will be provided by RLSSWA.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers needed! It would be greatly appreciated for any parents that are available to assist on the day. Roles include timekeeping, marshalling, and equipment moving. You may select 'yes' or 'no' in the registration form to volunteer.
